Philip Bloom is a world renowned filmmaker who specialized in creating film-like images with low budget video. Having work with film studios such as Lucasfilms, he finds himself in Koh Yao Noi, an undisturbed and nature rich island in Thailand filming away some amazing aerial shots with his Phantom 2 qaudrocopters and GoPro 2. Controlling the quadrocopter isn’t child’s play, after having crashed one earlier this year as highlighted in Philip Bloom’s blog article. Watch the video a couple times and you should realise the risk of flying the Phantom 2 over water, one false move and it’s probably gone for good.
