Microsoft has just announced their latest operating system Windows 10 and here’s some good news if you are a Windows user. For current Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 users, the upgrade to Windows 10 will be absolutely free for the first year after release.
The similar move seems to be triggered by Apple’s Mac OS X, after they started offering free OS updates since OS X 10.9 Mavericks back in 2013. No news yet on how the free Windows 10 upgrade will work, but a perk like this will mostly ensure existing users upgrade to the latest version of Windows.
