Remembering Lee Kuan Yew

The founding father of Singapore

Lee Kuan Yew, the first Prime Minister and founding father of Singapore has passed away peacefully this morning at the Singapore General Hospital. Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong has declared a period of National Mourning from Monday, 23 March to Sunday, 29 March 2015.

Mr Lee’s body will lie in state at Parliament House from Wednesday till Saturday, 25 – 28 March for the public to pay their last respects. The Parliament House will be opened from 10am to 8pm daily during this period.

Condolence books and cards will be available at the Istana’s main gate for everyone who wish to pen their tributes to the late Mr. Lee. The public can also pen their tributes online or find more information and updates from the official website Remembering Lee Kuan Yew and Facebook page.
