Google released two new Nexus Android smartphones in the last quarter of 2015 – Nexus 5X and 6P. Both models are made by different manufacturers, the 5X by LG and 6P by Huawei.

The larger and more powerful Nexus 6P is available at Huawei retail store in Sim Lim Square but not the 5X. It is also believed that the Google Nexus 5X didn’t make it into the Singapore market due to the lack of demand in the predecessor. Price wise, the 6P is around S$300 more costly than the 5X although you do get a slightly larger screen, the latest Qualcomm processor, aluminium body and a better selfie camera.

If you have been hoping for the 5X model to be made available here in Singapore, the wait is over. The Google Nexus 5X is currently listed on Qoo10 for S$539 (early-bird discount) with FedEx delivery included sold by Expansys, a reputable smartphone and tablet online retailer. The listed price is the closest, if not same, to what Google is selling in the states, but there’s no telling when Expansys will change that once the early-bird discount expires.

According to Expansys, the phone comes with a 3-pin plug and a 12-month free shipment return warranty.
