Turns out you can now add all your debit and credit cards from OCBC, DBS/POSB, UOB and Standard Chartered on iPhone and iPad Passbook app.
The expansion to include these popular retail banks comes after an announcement today (May 25) from Apple Singapore. Previously only American Express cards were able to use the Apple Pay service.
With the expansion, more customers can now pay for goods and services by placing the device over contactless payment terminals. Apple Pay service is compatible with iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch devices. There are also plans to move Apple Pay beyond an e-wallet in Singapore, the tech giant will be bringing reward programmes in the near future.
We tested adding some credit cards on iPhone with iOS 8.x and it will not work, which means it is required to update the device software to the latest version.
