Not a fan of Macbook but yet admire its sleek minimal designs? Now there’s a new notebook from Xiaomi that would make Apple engineers and designers turn their heads.

Even the name smells suspiciously similar as Mi Notebook Air makes its way into launch. Xiaomi’s take on the laptop category is clearly no surprise, there’s simply no consumer electronics the company can’t manufacture. Its CEO doesn’t hide the fact they mimic Apple products, after stating they have respect for the Cupertino company products.

Mi Notebook Air specs are pretty impressive, with the 13.3″ model powered by an Intel Core i5 processor, 8GB DDR4 memory, and a Nvidia GeForce 940MX dedicated graphics card. It also comes with 256GB of SSD storage (expandable) and on its sides two USB 3.0 ports and a USB Type-C port. Xiaomi new notebook also comes in a smaller 12.5″ model with a slower Intel processor, 4GB memory and 128GB SSD storage. Both models run on Windows 10 and feature logoless design for user personalisation with stickers and such.

Priced at RMB 4,999 (est. ~S$1017.48) for the 13.3″ and RMB 3,499 (est. ~S$712.17) for the 12.5″ models, the Mi Notebook Air is available for pre-order in China only, no news if it will come to Singapore yet.
