So it’s true – Retro never dies.

Say hello to the new 3310 mobile phone. The iconic and indestructible Nokia feature phone’s big comeback has surfaced all over the internet today, it even has its own official web page.

Yes, it has the legendary Snake game we all have been waiting for too, except modernised by Gameloft. Jokes aside, the new Nokia 3310 does have some impressive improvements – It now has a 2.4-inch polarised and curved screen, a 2-megapixel rear camera with LED flash for simple snaps, headphone jack, FM radio, a microSD slot and a whopping 22 hours talktime and standby time up to a month.

There’s a huge BUT…

The new Nokia 3310 supports only 2G networks, which also means we won’t be able to use it for calls, texting, Whatsapp, www or emails since 2G networks are being phased out by telcos in Singapore later this year. ????

The new Nokia 3310 phone will be priced at €49 (est~S$72.75) when it launches in Europe later this year.

Update on 28 February 2017, 12.12am: We earlier mentioned that users can still make calls and send texts using GSM networks despite 2G networks being phased out, that is not true. Without 2G network, the phone can neither make calls/text nor connect to the Internet.
