All past and present national servicemen will enjoy free public bus and train rides on Friday, 30 June 2017 in commemoration of NS50.
However, according to the joint statement by SMRT, SBS Transit, Go-Ahead and Tower Transit Singapore, you will be required to show up in your service uniform to enjoy the free travel:
- SAF national servicemen: Number 3 or 4 uniform
- SPF and SCDF national servicemen: Duty uniforms
The NS50 Free Bus and MRT Travel Day will be available all day from the start of service to the last bus/train service, including Nite Owl and NightRider.
