Banyan Tree Hotels to open luxurious eco-friendly resort at Mandai Wildlife Parks by 2023

Banyan Tree Hotels appointed resort operator at Mandai Wildlife Parks

After announcing the Mandai Precinct rejuvenation project which will feature a new Rainforest park and relocation of Jurong Bird Park into the same area, Mandai Park Holdings is back with a new surprise.

In a joint announcement, luxury resort brand Banyan Tree Hotels will be appointed the operator of the new eco-friendly resort at Mandai. The new resort will provide up to a total of 400 rooms along the Eco-Accommodation stretch when it completes by 2023.

The resort will be sited at a 4.6-hectare plot of land (around 6 football fields) on the eastern side of the Mandai Precinct. It will adopt sustainable designs to recycle and reduce energy, waste and water.

The Mandai resort will be its first in Singapore – Banyan Tree currently operates in 25 countries with 43 resorts in total. It currently operates a spa facility in Marina Bay Sands.

Construction of the Mandai resort is expected to begin in 2020 and is expected to take an estimated 2.5 years to complete.
