The crispy rendang chicken fiasco will probably not go away soon and while many are still mad over MasterChef UK’s judge comments, local eateries have taken the opportunity to come up with their own renditions of the iconic Malay dish.
IKEA Singapore is the latest to introduce a new Rendang Chicken Wings to their diners starting today. The new limited-time dish is likely made from the restaurants popular chicken wings and topped with rendang gravy.
The wings are only available until the end of the month at $9 for 6 pieces, a dollar more than the usual ones without rendang.
Customers, however, cannot purchase them in 2 or 4 pieces.
For what it’s worth, this just might be the elusive crispy rendang chicken the Masterchef UK judges are looking for.
