Celebrating 50 years of Big Mac
The triple-decker burger which comes with double beef patties and a special sauce has been McDonald’s signature item on the menu since it first debut in the USA fifty years ago.
Celebrating Big Mac’s 50th anniversary, McDonald’s Singapore too has a few promotions and offers lined up this September.
$5.50 Big Mac Extra Value Meal
Usually priced at $7.55, the Big Mac Extra Value Meal that comes with a medium-sized fries and small beverage will be available at just $5.50 starting from 6 September.
Spicy McNuggets Comeback
Fan-favourite Spicy McNuggets will be making a comeback once again starting this Thursday, 6 September as well. They will be available at $4.85 for 6 pieces and $6.40 for 9 pieces.
Perfect for dipping in everyone’s favourite Curry Sauce or the garlic chilli sauce for that extra kick or simply by itself.
Big Mac Merchandise
Big Mac 50th Anniversary Merchandise
Besides burgers, nuggets and fries, there will also be Big Mac merchandise up for grabs for the first time here in Singapore.
The limited edition Big Mac merchandise includes t-shirts, caps and tote bags.
From what we know, you won’t be able to buy them straight off the shelves but rather prizes of a Big Mac Karaoke Contest that will be held from 7 – 16 September. Details will be released on McDonald’s @mcdsg Instagram account.
Limited Edition Collectible MacCoins
Unlike in the states where you can just collect them simply by ordering a Big Mac over the counter, you have to put in some work to receive one of the 15 MacCoins that will be only be given to the biggest Big Mac fan here in Singapore.
The first of two ways is by tunning in to Class 95 FM between 27 August to 3 September to win an exclusive closed-door Big Mac event with radio DJs Justin Ang and Vernon A. Invited listeners will have a chance to win the limited edition MacCoin through an evening of fun and games.
The other way to win the MacCoins is by looking out for Instagram contests hosted by NYLON and Alvinology to find out how to win one during the same period.
