Sakura Matsuri returns to Gardens by the Bay this March

Instagrammers won’t be able to resist this annual event at Gardens by the Bay.

That’s right, Sakura Matsuri, inspired by cherry blossom season in Japan, is returning to the Flower Dome starting this Saturday, 9 March and will be held till the end of the month.

This year, the Sakura Matsuri Floral Display will showcase a landscape that reminiscent the Land of the Rising Sun. Visitors will be able to find Torii gates beneath a canopy of pink and white cherry blossoms, traditional red wooden bridge to peek through circular marumado windows.

Gardens by the Bay also gave us a sneak peek on Fukubana cherry trees.

Besides the Japanese-style decor, the festival will also feature over 20 varieties of cherry blossoms.
