Here’s a chicken rice dish you must visit if you stay in the west or happen to pass by.
Qi Lin Xuan (麒麟轩鸡饭) is a chicken rice stall located at block 442 in Jurong West and they are famous for their fragrant chicken rice balls, which the stall sells at just 40 cents each.
Now you can add rice (balls) to your heart’s content.
According to a feature video by Damn Worth It facebook page, the boss is born in Malaysia (currently Singapore citizen) and his chicken rice balls are inspired by the same popular dish in Malacca.
However, his version of the chicken rice balls is larger than what the shops in Malacca are selling.
The stall opens ridiculously early too, as early as 6am. The next time you want chicken rice for breakfast, you know where to head to.
Customers can also choose from three types of chicken – Steamed (White), Roasted (Black) or Soya Sauce Chicken.
They are available at $3.50 per plate and comes with 3 rice balls or go for a Half Chicken Set Meal at $20 for a larger party which comes with greens and more rice balls.
There are also options to purchase half or whole chicken from $12 onwards.
