Playmade S’pore new Halloween Milk Tea flavours
Singapore foodies looking for the next food challenge can head to Playmade this month.
The popular bubble milk tea shop has just teamed up with Singtel GOMO to launch a couple of new eyebrow-raising Halloween flavours – Wasabi Milk Tea with Wasabi Pearls and Cocoa Milk Tea with Mala Pearls.
Yes, spicy Japanese wasabi and Sichuan mala pearls.
You can buy the Wasabi Milk Tea from now till 14 October but the Cocoa Milk Tea with Mala Pearls will only be available from 15 – 31 October later this month.
According to Instagram user @paopaocha.sg, the Wasabi Milk Tea isn’t for the weak stomach. Here’s their thoughts on it.
“As much as I love wasabi, this probably isn’t for me. The drink unfortunately made me feel sick in the stomach ? .
The intense spiciness of wasabi hit me hard after the first sip, and I actually liked it initially (maybe I am M for wasabi ?)

About a quarter through the drink, my stomach started feeling sick and it got worse the more I drank. Maybe this is how it feels like when you overdose on wasabi.

The pearls were tougher than the usual ones offered at Playmade. Not sure if it’s just this batch or if all wasabi pearls are mean to be that hard. The pearls also had the spicy kick after chewing on them”
