McDonald’s S’pore extends closure till further notice, not reopening on May 5

#StayClosed

McDonald’s Singapore has just announced they won’t be opening anytime soon, at least not on 5 May as earlier expected.

Here’s their announcement on Facebook.

Monitoring situation

Despite given permission to reopen under essential services framework, McDonald’s says they had come to the decision after considering the safety and well-being of their employees and customers during this period due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

They added that no employees will be let go during this period and will continue to receive their salaries during the temporary closure.

Sadly, fans will have to wait for another day to enjoy spicy McNuggets and Big Macs.

Closed till further notice

The fast-casual restaurant, however, did not specify how long more they will remain closed and says they will continue monitoring the situation before determining an appropriate time to reopen.

Lastly, McDonald’s advise fans to look out for their updates on their social channels.
