Tampines residents and shoppers will be without a UNIQLO store for a brief period this month.
That’s because UNIQLO store in Tampines 1 has been closed for good since 18 January earlier this week.
Bet you didn’t know (or have forgotten) it’s the first UNIQLO store in Singapore, opening their doors 9 years ago back in April 2009.
So sad.
The sadness, however, will be shortlived since UNIQLO will be opening a duplex store at the neighbouring mall – Tampines Mall.
It will take over the 19,500 sqft 2-storey unit formerly occupied by H&M and will open on 5 February (Fri). In the meantime, if you encounter any withdrawal symptoms, you can still head to the nearest UNIQLO stores at Bedok Mall or Changi City Point.
Here’s the official announcement.
The new store was spotted earlier by Singapore Atrium Sale, right beside the escalator from the mall entrance.
Yay.
Now residents can look forward to not just a better, but larger shopping experience as well at the new store.
