Japanese departmental store ISETAN is reducing its number of outlets in Singapore, reported by online sources.
Closing Permanently
According to the company, ISETAN Katong will be closing its store at Parkway Parade (Marine Parade) permanently when its lease expires in March next year.
The departmental store has a long history in the Marine Parade mall, opening its door to shoppers in Singapore way back in 1983. It currently occupies two levels in the mall.
It marks the company’s second closure after discontinuing its operations in Westgate last year.
It’s not clear who will be taking over the space but shoppers can keep a lookout for closing down sales from the ISETAN Katong store in the coming months.
ISETAN says they will continue to operate in these locations in Singapore:
- Serangoon Nex
- Isetan Scotts (Shaw House)
- Tampines Mall
