A must-try for cake lovers even if you are no fan of coriander leaves

Got a birthday celebration coming up? Here’s a unique cake that will make the birthday boy or girl love or hate you.

Coriander Cake

Say hello to the latest cake trend in town – Coriander Cake. Yes, it’s made with real coriander leaves which is also known as Chinese parsley and cilantro, a herb commonly added to soups, salsa and of course, chicken rice.

Created by Baker’s Brew Studio, a popular local confectionery known for their custom cakes and baking classes, the Coriander Cake is priced at $58 (6-inch whole cake) in a special launch promotion price.

According to the bakery, the new cake features a medley of flavours instead of just coriander – the sponge cake is made with lemon and coriander along with a passionfruit curd and coriander crumble filling.

Here’s a closer look where you can spot shreds of coriander leaves in the cake.

As for how it tastes like, there’s only one way to find out – by ordering one yourself via Baker Brew’s online store here.

Cupcakes too

Besides whole cakes, there’s also Coriander Cupcakes for those who prefer to enjoy them in smaller bites.

It is priced at $30.80 for a box of 6 cupcakes.

Do note that both the Coriander Cake and Cupcakes are not available for delivery to ensure freshness. Customers can collect their orders at Baker’s Brew Sembawang outlet located at 6 Jalan Tampang.
