Still can’t get enough of Squid Game? Turns out popular hotpot place Haidilao (海底捞) has a secret Squid Game challenge you can participate in and win freebies.
Haidilao Clarke Quay ‘Squid Game’ Promotion
The special Squid Game challenge was discovered earlier today by a netizen following Facebook page Singapore Atrium Sale who documented her experience at Haidilao Clarke Quay.
Similar to the honeycomb stage (Ppopgi) where contestants need to carve out the shape with a pin in a honeycomb treat, diners will need to perform the same challenge with a toothpick instead.
Upon successfully completing the task, the participant will be rewarded with a free dish.
However, it is not clear if there’s a time limit to it.
The free dish, which is a Fish Ball with Roe set, is given in the form of a voucher so customers can redeem it on their next visit. It appears there’s no expiry to it but is limited to the Clarke Quay branch.
Didn’t manage to carve it in a complete shape? Not to worry, there’s no punishment whatsoever and instead, diners will still be rewarded with a free Bandung Float with an adorable ice bear topper.
In other words, there are no losers for participating in the challenge.
Definitely very cute.
While the Squid Game challenge is discovered at Clarke Quay outlet, you might want to try your luck by asking for it at other Haidilao outlets on your next visit.
