Beccarino Patisserie is a bakery located in the heart of Kampong Glam that specialises in cakes and pastries which includes Veva Cake (Dutch-Indonesian layer cake), Soya Cake, Roll Cake, Choux Pastries, and Eggless Cookies.
More recently, they have also introduced a new savoury snack that’s popular in Indonesia called Rissoles – a pastry that looks like a long puff that is rolled in breadcrumbs and filled with a medley of ingredients including chicken, mushroom and cheese before being deep-fried to a crisp.
When broken apart, the piping hot mix of ingredients inside oozes out like lava as a result of the melted mozzarella cheese.
Just heavenly.
According to the bakery, their Rissoles are handmade and fried fresh daily. Customers can also choose from two flavours – Classic Chicken Rissole ($2.50) or the fan-favourite Chicken Mushroom with Mozzarella Cheese ($3.00).
The Rissoles are best consumed within the day or even right away once you leave the shop.
