Japanese $2 discount store Daiso is coming to Serangoon this June
Good news for Serangoon residents – Daiso is making its way to your neighbourhood really soon.

That’s right, popular Japanese discount store known for selling $2 items storewide Daiso will be opening in NEX located right above Serangoon MRT station.
A netizen spotted the renovation cladding boards with Daiso Japan labels on level 4 of the mall. It also says they will be opening soon in June later this year.
It will take over the space formerly occupied by Party World KTV which has stopped operating ever since Covid pandemic restrictions were put in place.

While the entrance looks small for a Daiso store, some eagle-eyed fans are quick to point out that the units do in fact stretch rather far inside.

However, do take note that Daiso will start to charge GST starting from 1 May so you might want to stock up on your favourite items from their stores elsewhere first.
