Starbucks brings back Shiok-ah-ccino drinks with intense ‘GAO’ flavours this year
With National Day less than a month away, Starbucks is bringing back the yearly tradition once again to celebrate the nation’s birthday – launching its much-anticipated Shiok-ah-ccino drink this week.
Not one, but two
This year, Starbucks will be launching two new flavours for the Shiok-ah-ccino drink from 13 July (Wed) onwards at all stores islandwide, a Starbucks Singapore Exclusive drink that is available only for a limited time.
The flavours available include:
- Intense Chocolate GAO
- Intense Coffee GAO
For those not familiar with the term “gao”, it simply means thick in Hokkien and is usually used as a coffeeshop lingo when ordering coffee or tea drinks with an extra intensity akin to an additional espresso shot.
The new Shiok-ah-ccino drinks will also come with whipped cream, crunchy wafer biscuits and a “SHIOK” chocolate topper.
Free Limited Edition Cup Sleeve Holder
Besides enjoying the new Singapore-exclusive drinks, Starbucks will also be giving away free limited-edition Starbucks x Ang Ku Kueh Girl Cup Sleeve Holder with every purchase of a Venti-sized Shiok-ah-ccino.
So good but keep in mind it’s only while stocks last.
Be sure to bring a buddy along if you want the cup sleeve holder but can’t finish the Venti-sized drink all by yourself.
