Find lots of giant lantern displays featuring attractions & scenes from different countries at Jurong Lake Gardens

Looking for family-friendly activities in the west this weekend? You might want to know that Jurong Lake Gardens have transformed into a lantern wonderland.

Lights by the Lake

Happening from now till 18 September in celebration of the upcoming Mid-Autumn Festival, visitors will be able to find an array of thematic lantern displays showcasing key attractions and scenes from 6 different countries at Jurong Lake Gardens.

The countries include Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Italy and more.

According to NParks, these mesmerising displays are created by professional lantern artisans.

The displays light up the park, offering a different ambience when the skies turn dark.

So pretty.

Charity Water Lanterns

Besides marvelling at the lantern installations, visitors will also be able to write their wishes on a flower lantern and release them into the waters at ABC Waters Amphitheatre, Lakeside Field.

It costs $10 each with 100% of the proceeds going to the President’s Challenge Charity Fund.

There will also be family-friendly activities and workshops to participate such as dragonboat try-outs, lantern-making workshops and more.
