Good news for doughnut lovers, Mister Donut is officially opening a new outlet in Bishan.
Coming in May 2023
The popular doughnut chain originates from the United States but was more successful in the Japanese market with over 1,300 stores in the country after adjusting the recipes and giving it a higher class image.
Mister Donut in Japan is known for its signature Pon De Ring doughnut that’s shaped like a lion’s mane, based on the set of mascot characters developed by the chain in the country.
The doughnut franchise is brought in by RE&S, the same F&B company behind Japanese restaurants Kuriya and Ichiban Boshi in Singapore.
After its successful pop-up store in Jurong Point last year, it has confirmed it will be opening its first permanent store in Junction 8, Bishan under a master franchise from Mister Donut’s Japanese brand master.
Customers had to wait as long as 3 hours in the queue to enjoy the doughnuts from the pop-up store.
Here are some photos of the doughnuts that fans managed to get their hands on.
The new permanent store in Junction 8 is slated to open sometime in May later this year, with staff trained in Mister Donut academy in Osaka prior to the opening.
