Dessert lovers who frequent Ah Chew Desserts in Novena will soon have to travel further for their sweet cravings.
Relocating to Cineleisure Orchard
That’s right – the beloved dessert place located in Goldhill Centre near Novena MRT station which had replicated the Chinese-style interior and decor of the original store along Liang Seah Street will be relocating soon.
A full house with queues outside was a common scene during peak hours and late nights since the store opens until midnight daily to keep up with the demand for late-night dessert sessions.

Black Glutinous Rice with Vanilla Ice Cream
Water Chestnut Egg with Chinese Herbal Jelly
Hawaiian Papaya Boiled with Fresh Milk
Closing Early March
The official Facebook page made the announcement earlier this week, thanking fans for their support over the years. In fact, the Novena outlet has been operating for almost 9 years since it first open in April 2014.
It will close the store in early March next month so make your way down if you’re feeling all sentimental about it.
A staff by the Facebook name Daniel Tan replied to an enquiry stating Novena outlet’s last day of operation will likely be on 1 March as they will start moving the equipment the following day.
It’s not goodbye though as Ah Chew Desserts say they will be relocating the Novena store to Cineleisure Orchard instead and will be opening in mid-March.
However, it’s unclear if the new store will have the same operating hours, which means late-night desserts could be limited to just the Bugis branch. Nevertheless, we have reached out to them and will update this page once we have more information.
