For those who have Mongolia on their travel bucket list, here’s a chance to experience it here in Singapore.
Chrysanthemum Charm
Gardens by the Bay’s Flower Dome is now hosting a Mongolia Grassland theme inspired by the open grasslands reminiscent of the steppes of Mongolia, featuring some 80 varieties of Chrysanthemum floral display.
The new theme which just started at the time of this writing will run till 13 November this year.
Presented in collaboration with the Embassy of Mongolia in Singapore, visitors will be able to find elements of Mongolia culture in Flower Dome, including a life-sized specially-crafted Mongolian ger (also commonly called yurt) with interiors that resemble the traditional nomadic lifestyle that is practised by Mongolians even today.
Here’s a sneak peek of the installations and floral displays (photos by Gardens by the Bay).
There will also be samples of authentic Mongolian cultural artefacts like Mongolian nobleman beds and traditional costumes, deel.
Additionally, 10 new varieties of Chrysanthemum flowers will also be making their debut in Southeast Asia so be sure to spot them while you’re there.
There’s also an intro video of the floral displays and installations so you get a better idea.
