This holiday season, Changi Airport is pulling out all the stops to transform into a magical wonderland with the return of the Changi Festive Village.
Hello Kitty 50th Anniversary Celebration
In its fifth year, the event celebrates Hello Kitty’s 50th anniversary, giving fans and travellers a kawaii experience packed with games, rides, shopping, and Sanrio magic.
From now till mid-February next year, fans can immerse themselves in festivities with Hello Kitty and her Sanrio friends, including My Melody, Kuromi, Cinnamoroll, and Pompompurin.
Hello Kitty Festive Wonderland
At Terminal 3 (T3) Departure Hall, visitors are greeted by the grand Hello Kitty Festive Wonderland. An 8-metre-tall Hello Kitty topiary stands at the centre, surrounded by other beloved Sanrio characters. An enchanting 7-meter rainbow slide adds fun for all ages, making it an experience to remember.
Weekend meet-and-greet sessions with Sanrio characters give fans the chance to snap memorable photos. To secure a meet-and-greet pass, simply spend S$50 (S$80 in supermarkets and Jewel) in one transaction at participating outlets.
Daily snow shows bring a magical winter touch to the wonderland, creating picturesque memories.
Sanrio Character Hunt Across Changi Airport
Hello Kitty and her friends have spread their festive cheer across all four terminals – from 14 November onwards, visitors can embark on a Sanrio character hunt, with charming Hello Kitty topiaries and figurines in 15 locations across both public and transit areas.
Capture Insta-worthy moments with these adorable displays – a festive scavenger hunt perfect for families and fans alike.
Carnival Fun with Sanrio Friends
The fun doesn’t stop at the wonderland. T3 Arrival Hall hosts a carnival featuring nine zones dedicated to various Sanrio characters like Kuromi, Pochacco, Hangyodon, and more.
Each zone offers photo ops with larger-than-life character figurines, games, and rides. Try your hand at Sanrio-themed game booths, where you can win tokens to redeem exclusive character collectibles like plush toys and bags.
Young adventurers will love the “50th Celebration Grand Express,” an enchanting ride celebrating Hello Kitty’s golden anniversary.
Limited-edition collectible pins can be earned by participating in various activities, and visitors can join creative workshops to design their own Sanrio keepsakes.
Dive into Fun at Cosmic HydroPark
For the first time, Changi Airport introduces the Cosmic HydroPark, an inflatable water park at T3 Coach Bay.
With thrilling obstacles, slides, and splash zones, it’s an adventure for all ages. Engage in water gun battles, rock on floating boats, or try the tower climber. A dedicated kiddy pool provides a safe space for young ones to join the fun.
AstroMart, located nearby, offers waterproof gear, snacks, and drinks, and shower facilities are available for freshening up. Tickets are S$19 on weekdays and S$24 on weekends, with bundle discounts available.
Pop-Up Stores and Limited-Edition Sanrio Merchandise
Changi Airport’s pop-up stores are filled with adorable Sanrio merchandise, perfect for holiday gifting.
Sanrio pop-ups at Terminals 2, 3, and 4 feature exclusive items like Hello Kitty cabin luggage, hand warmer cushions, and the Puffy Bag with Hello Kitty charm available in exclusive colours.
Shoppers who spend S$60 in a single receipt until the end of the year can purchase these Changi-exclusive Hello Kitty premiums.
Changi Rewards members can also enjoy complimentary Sanrio gifts, such as a Hello Kitty mini luggage and Kuromi hand warmer, by accumulating points. There’s even a festive gachapon machine, where members can try their luck with a S$50 spend.
