Remember BAKE Cheese Tart, the famous pastry shop from Hokkaido that had a queue so long in ION Orchard they had to split it up to another area in the mall? It’s closing for good end of this October.
They are known for their crispy, rich and fluffy tarts that are freshly made in stores daily.
Besides cheese tarts, they also introduced a variety of limited flavours over the years in Singapore.
Including strawberry, roasted green tea, chocolate and more.
And the more recently Lemon Cheese Tart.
The bad news
Their official Facebook page announced the sad news a while ago – they will cease the operations at their last store in ION Orchard on 31 October.
The good news
It’s not all bad news though. The same owner will be bringing in another famous pastry chain from Tokyo – Croquantchou Zaku Zaku, a crunchy texted chou puff made with ingredients from Hokkaido.
It will take over the same store in ION Orchard and is scheduled to open on 30 November later this year.
Here’s a preview at some of their snacks.
Can’t wait to try it.
