New 18-hectare Lim Chu Kang Nature Park with mangroves, grasslands & coastal birds will be ready in 2022

Part of 400-hectare green corridor

Explore more of nature and the repurposed Cashin House in the new Lim Chu Kang Nature Park

Good news for nature lovers – a new nature park in the west is currently in the works and will be completed by 2022.

Lim Chu Kang Nature Park

Lim Chu Kang mangroves will be conserved to form part of the new 18-hectare Lim Chu Kang Nature Park, the size of about 13 football fields.

Besides the mangroves, there will also be grasslands and scrublands to explore. The new nature park will also be part of the 400-hectare green corridor in the west, an extension of the current Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve.

Bird lovers will also be able to catch coastal feathered friends such as the Grey-headed Fish Eagle and Baya Weaver.

Cashin House Heritage Building

Besides enjoying nature, the colonial-era bungalow Cashin House will be repurposed into an exhibition and event space in the park where visitors can learn more about the history of the area.

It will also have seminar rooms for workshops and a sea-view terrace.
